SJVN Awards 1,000 MW Solar EPC Contract to Tata Power Solar

Green Urja Conclave

Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd. has been awarded a Letter of Award (Letter of Award) by SJVN for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 1,000 MW solar project in Bikaner, according to Nand Lal Sharma (the Chairman and Managing Director of SJVN). According to Sharma, this is the biggest solar EPC deal in India’s history.

To develop a 1,000 MW solar power plant in Bikaner, Rajasthan, state-run SJVN Ltd selected Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd. The overall cost of building and development of the project was Rs 5,491.89 crore.

First-year output will be 2,454.55 million units, and over the course of 25 years, it will total 56,838.32 million units. Over the course of 25 years, this project will cut greenhouse gas emissions by about 27,85,077 tonnes. By May 2024, the project will be operational.

The recent purchase of solar projects has enabled SJVN’s Shared goal of 5000 MW in 2023, 25000MW in 2030, and 50000MW in 2040. There is an EPC contract that includes the whole delivery of the commissioned SJVN solar power plant, including the arrangement of a site, the power evacuation system to ISTS Substation, and three years of solar PV plant operations/maintenance. India’s aim of 500GW non-fossil fuel energy capacity and a decrease in overall carbon emissions by one million tonnes by 2030 will be met with this project.

According to the CPSE Scheme (central government sector enterprise), SJVN was awarded the 1,000 MW solar power project after a competitive bidding procedure.

SJVN’s portfolio is continually being expanded to include more capacity. Currently, SJVN has over 31,000 MW of power plants. Hydro, thermal wind, solar, and solar are all used by the SJVN to produce electricity. As a result, it has also branched out into the transmission and trading of electricity.

Envision Energy Get Awarded With 2000 MW Wind Turbine Order in India

Wind Turbine

In India, Envision Energy has been given a 2000 MW contract for wind turbines. By the end of 2023, Envision will have delivered 596 wind turbines constructed at its India manufacturing.

Envision Group was included in MIT Technology Review’s list of the “World’s 50 Smartest Companies” for 2019. According to the Fortune “Change the World” list, published in October 2021, Envision was the world’s second-best company.

To become the first Chinese corporation to commit to generating all of its power from renewable sources by the year 2025, Envision Group joined the worldwide “RE100” program. Envision Group declared on April 22nd, 2021 that it will be carbon neutral in operations by 2022 and carbon neutral across its value chain by 2028.

To build a 1200 MW nacelle and hub assembly factory in Pune, Envision committed $25 million USD in 2018. The projects will be powered by EN156/3.3 wind turbines, which will be provided and installed by Envision. The rotor on EN 156/3.3 measures 156 metres, making it the country’s biggest. There is a 140-meter hub height for this rotor, which is connected to a 3.3-MW generator. This design is well suited for the country’s low wind regimes, which are prevalent.

Envision will quadruple its present capacity in order to fulfil the increased demand from the market. By the first quarter of 2023, Envision plans to open a blade plant in India. The 198 MW Khagashree wind farm and the 35 MW Kagvad wind farm, both powered by EN-131 / 2.5M wind turbines, have been up and running since May and October, respectively, for Envision’s Indian projects.

More than 1.76 billion kWh of clean energy have been created for the area as a result of these initiatives. By 2030, India aims to have 500 GW and 50% of its energy needs met by renewable sources.

Envision India is happy to be a part of this effort. We aim to hire more than 300 locals to fulfil the expanding demand of the nation and the additional markets in the Asia Pacific area as our wind and energy storage company expand.” According to Country Head Of India Region R P V Prasad:

It’s a great honour for us to be trusted by our Indian partner and to continue providing our finest solutions there,” says Kane Xu of Envision India and Global Vice President. We can better serve our clients by maximizing efficiency, saving money, and innovating quickly thanks to our expertise in digital technology. For our clients, we’re offering net-zero technologies like energy storage and digitization, in addition to wind power.

As a leading green technology and net zero technology partner, Envision Group is committed to tackling the problems of a sustainable future for humanity. Using Envision Energy, Envision AESC, and Envision Digital, Envision creates, markets, and manages the world’s biggest AI-powered battery system, as well as smart wind turbines and smart storage systems.

National Open Access Registry (NOAR) has successfully gone live from 1st May 2022

Renewable Energy

The National Open Access Registry (NOAR) became live on May 1, 2022, after a successful test period.  NOAR is an initiative of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, and the necessary regulatory framework has been notified by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) through the operationalization of the 5th Amendment Regulation on Open Access in Inter-State Transmission.

For the purpose of electronic processing of short-term open access applications, NOAR has been designed as an integrated single window electronic platform that is accessible to all stakeholders including open access participants, traders, power exchanges, national/regional/state load despatch centres. This platform will automate the administration of short-term open access in the interstate transmission system, which will benefit all stakeholders.

Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO), which operates the National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC), has been selected as the nodal agency for the implementation and operation of NOAR.

As a repository for information pertaining to short-term open access in interstate transmission, including standing clearance issued by RLDCs or SLDCs, and short-term open access granted to open access customers, among other things, the NOAR platform will be made available to stakeholders online. The provision of a payment gateway that is integrated with NOAR and used for the purpose of processing payments will make financial accounting and tracking of short-term open access transactions easier.

NOAR would be the key to facilitating speedier power markets and enabling the integration of renewable energy (RE) supplies into the grid, according to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. NOAR will allow open access to consumers to participate in the market in a seamless manner, providing them with easier and faster access to the short-term energy market, which accounts for around 10% of total demand in India.
